I am having the BEST day. Mostly because I got to go play with Janis. To tell the truth? I have not worked hard on the piano...I have been devoting my time to my course. YIKES. 10 reports left and just a few weeks. The assignments are getting way more difficult and very challenging for my old brain.
But my lesson...well --- there's a lot to be said for a wonderful teacher who can inspire one even though time is at a premium. I love the stories....I love the way her body moves to the music to show me how to move to get the sound we want to hear. I love the way she demonstrates everything and I can do it over and over until I get it. Patience Personified!!!! I want to be like that.
Today is the ward dinner. I experimented with gluten and dairy free cupcakes. I'm going to watch the Neslen kids...if they don't like them and think they are yucky...I will get a recipe from Valerie!
