- Beloved is home! Gosh I miss him when he goes for a few days. I am so grateful he got to have some MAN TIME and some man fun and then come home. I love that he gives me a little time and also gets his time.
I have been saving a little of the piano money I earn that comes in cash and I put it in an envelope. Maybe $5 or $10 ----- this week the guitar that I've been coveting (EEEK) went on sale. I paid $300 for a Teton Dreadnought. It has an amazing sound. I think it is better than some of the higher end models that I had no intention of spending on. Really piano is my FIRST love, mandolin my second, but I thought it would be fun to sit around with my grandkids and play and sing with them...."Bingo, Alice Where Are You Going, On Top Of Spaghetti." etcetera. etcetera.....
I was watching The Musketeer's from the BBC network online....until I read the article on online streaming/I mean online stealing....which made me rethink that....but I digress...
Their motto is "One for ALL and all for ONE!"
I want to make my motto: All for Christ
Because Christ gave His all!
Hm...there is a song in there somewhere.
If everyone stood up and lived like they were all for Christ....then imagine what would happen! Whooey...I get lightheaded just thinking about it.
Today is Friday. I play at the Temple today. Fortunately my tooth is recovering from the root canal.
Singularity rehearsal was a BLAST. I love those ladies. They are so good to me.
I had joy singing with the Gaither Vocal Band in the car.
Now, I need to get some regular music time going.
One more thing. Yesterday I was playing some Beatle's music and dancing with Bella. You know....there are lyrics with inferred meanings of drugs and/or sex. So we stopped and went back to HELP, and Eight Days a Week. I know those are okay. OOOOH, Beloved bought me Hot August Night on CD. AND also John Denver's Rocky Mountain High on CD. I have them on LP but no way to play them.
It has been a growing week for me spiritually. My prayers have been good! I hope yours are as well.
I actually keep a card prayer list by my pillow, so I don't forget anybody. I will be grateful when Loralee and Randy go off that list. I think Bishop Ellis has to stay. Being Bishop must be hard. He learns about the worst of us....it would make me physically ill to know too much. I'd rather just be me and not worry about the bad stuff. So prayers for our Bishopric who try their best and give a LOT of time...and also their families for the great sacrifice.
My friend who has been "homeless" for a bit, went to the Temple every week, did all the right things, had about 50 bad things happen to her. Life Happens, doesn't it? Her mantra is "Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven." I love it!
My daughter-in-law Alyson is starting her third trimester. Last night she and Graydon came to visit. Her tummy preceded her through the door by quite a few inches. I had a terrible urge to pat the baby! (But I resisted!)
Julie has gone to work....so I'd better get cracking before Bella is up and needs me. She now loves "Clifford, the Big Red Dog." Netflix has saved me when I'm working and tending!!!!
Have a most splendid day. And if you're having a hard time, know you're on my list....and we are
"All for Christ
because he gave all for us!"
