Busy week

September 5
It has been a busy week.  I was able to finish another module in my course - yay. Graydon had surgery on Thursday. He did better glucose-wise - but Sunday had an episode where he dropped to 47 after taking his pain pill. I was pretty sure I was going to have to call 911. It was scary. He can't see or think at that number. I was worried sick.

I didn't teach my class yesterday as we are finished...but lots of folks were gone anyway. I'm trying to decide when to begin again.  We did have choir today. I forgot my music.

Savannah Neville got little glasses. They are so cute on her. She loves school and was going to Grandma's in Logan for a birthday party. I love when she talks to me. I got a hug.

The grandkids got to come up Saturday and went home Sunday morning. It wasn't long enough to visit with them. Taylor was exceptionally good. He does tend to get fixated on an activity and it wear me out....playing trains, or Twinkle Twinkle....100 times is enough...and yet I keep trying to go on because he enjoys it.

I have a little sewing project for Kayla - but we didn't have enough time to start it.
Grandpa was telling Kayla that we are selling the rabbits. She is broken-hearted and asked Ayden how long it would take him to earn enough money to buy them? She is afraid she will come to visit and there won't be any left. Grandpa says he might have to keep a breeding pair just so the grandkids can pet them. It's a big job having animals. Especially in the heat and in the snow. We can't just go anywhere because they have to be provided for.

Ayden really loves music. He can sit at the piano for a very long time and try over and over again to get a little song right. I taught him a little song by rote. It was interesting that he could remember most of it even though I taught it to him before school began in Arizona.

Jessie (dog) came up with Kellye to get the kids. Marley was ecstatic to see her friend. They chased around the yard for a bit.

It was fun to have them come. A little tiring as well.

Kayla cried when it was time to go home. She wants to live with us. Ayden wasn't ready to go yet either. We didn't get to hike the canyon because it was too hot. RATS.

It is 12:42 a.m. Julie just came home

On Saturday,  someone from Peach Days called. My little story "Eva" won a prize. The awards ceremony is next Saturday at 4:00 at the Community Center.

So much to do this week. I want to make something nice for Kellye for Christmas and finish something for PJ and Angie. Too many projects and not enough time! YIKES.

I am reading: "Jack" The biography of C.S. Lewis written by his step-son (Helen's son) Douglas Gresham. It is very good. He has lost some of the bitterness that came through when he wrote "Lenten Lands."

Well...the pain in my tibia is better, so I can lay down now.

Oh....Melissa Hindman was able to come home. Bill bore a sweet testimony in Sacrament Meeting about the power of prayer. I am so glad her little baby is going to stay put a little bit longer. It is scary when babies come too early.

Bonnie Partridge came to visit for an hour on Friday. She brought her 2-year old granddaughter who is adorable. I miss seeing her all the time.

Lynn Maddox came and visited later in the day and brought me a birthday gift. She is a dear. She is one of the women of Perry who have taught me so much. I am lucky to know her. She asked me to play for her, so I played "If You Could Hie To Kolob" a new solo I am working on...it is so beautiful.
Piano lesson on Tuesday!
