The Relief Society General Presidency

General Relief Society Meeting, this Saturday,
 September 24, SLC, LDS Conference Center.

Relief Society sisters worldwide are invited to view the satellite broadcast of the general Relief Society meeting, which will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. (MDT) and will be broadcast to many areas of the world.



I  am really jazzed to go. I have 2 tickets and found someone else to go down with me. And that someone is a person I admire and love...Dianne Curtis. She is going to drive. What a dear! She has been a good friend to me for about 20 years...even when I haven't been a good friend. I feel really blessed to have this opportunity. This will be my 3rd time to go...and I hate the long drive and the long walk...but what a great feeling -- to sit with 50,000 women and listen for inspiration to improve my life. I am so grateful!

Today has been a hard day. I won't tell anyone I am the best piano teacher in the world. I was very short on patience. I'm not sure why. Hormones? I felt cranky. I sat and played a bit and that was wonderful...but I didn't want to share my time today, I think. Anyway - I got myself under control and 'matured up' enough to get the job done. I hope I didn't step on any of my little people, whom I love. Paige is doing so well. I am really proud of her. Shaylee is starting to get in the groove...her legato is so beautiful. Paige uses her whole body to express sound....which is remarkable. Shaylee holds back a little, but it's in there - I can hear it....hopefully I can help her get it out. That is very rewarding.

Marley is still itchty. Pooky. Poor little border collie.

Have a basket of peaches (Alberta's) on the table. It looks like I'll bet bottling tomorrow. I've got tons of plums from my 2 trees...so have been picking and making juice for jelly. It will be nice for Christmas gifts.

That's all the news for now. Not much. Just a mediocre day!
