Menopause - a pause in the menses (from the Greek - meaning moon phases)
I started this little change while I worked at ATK. I don't miss the unmentionable aggravations, but the hot flashes I have now are just crazy.
Yesterday I felt like I was being microwaved from the inside out. I kept turning on the window air conditioner and standing in front of it. My shirt top was soaked all the way through, my face was red, and it felt like my body was screaming for oxygen. Holy Cow!
I remember my friend Dianne told me about Black Cohosh. So I found a bottle and am taking it. If the Native Americans thought it was great stuff I will try it. After all, they knew about willow bark tea for headaches and the salicylic acid in it is the same ingredient as aspirin!
It is miserable though. I am donating this information because I just know that my daughter will need it!
