Hairy week?

Another cool--rainy, less than 70 degree almost summer day. This weather is sure idiosyncratic!

Box Elder graduation today. I wish I would have had the money to send Julie to another school. I think she would have done better. I know, I know...heresy here in Brigham City. But my children did not do well there.

I am so glad we are almost done with public schools. Maybe I can help my grandkids with money or something so they can do better.

I think Ayden would like to learn to play the piano. I am going to get him a book and see if I can't show him a little everytime he comes. He seems very interested. It is hard though - he doesn't have a piano at home to practice on. And if he did - it might make his parents totally crazy.

All the dogs (3) are asleep--sprawled across the floors. Maybe they will enjoy this quiet day!  I should be studying.... After Jessie (Kellye's puppy) dragged me up the canyon my poor joints are a little achey. After we put on the nose halter-like thing - Jessie was much better.

I am reading a book about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was the Lutheran minister who gave his life to stop Hitler. He really spoke out and tried to stop what was happening. Of course he lost his life early - but his writings are quite profound.

Also am reading the essays and poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins. He wrote a wonderful poem called The Windhover. I will post it separately. It is an allegory of the Life of Christ. Also profound.

Well I better shower and try to get some study time in before Julie's graduation at 3:00 p.m.
