was cheering this morning
frothy pom-poms crashing over boulders
under fallen trees and across the trail
A gymnast in colors of blue and gray!
Three Mile Creek
in a jubilant roar!
Cottonwoods, mustard, clover and dragonflies
waving at the parade
Nature participating in its own
celebration of freedom
