At the library

This happened 11/07/14

True story. On Saturday I took Bella to the library to do puzzles and read stories. I don't look for me...this is all about her and it is her time. While reading a story, a little boy came over. His Mom said he was four. He stood behind us with his hand on my shoulder. Bella said, "You can shawe ow stowy if you want." She scooted over and made room next to me. We read three more stories and then we did more puzzles. They have a wand type stylus or something that you use to move little metal balls around the maze. He couldn't do it. I helped him. You may wonder where his Mom was during this half hour. Sitting on a chair behind us texting on her phone - THE WHOLE TIME. Soon it was time to go, we got up to leave, the little boy went with us. He grabbed my arm and said, "I go with you?"
Man....I went out in the car....that was the saddest thing ever. He had never even met me before. He was adorable. Bella said he was her "best fwiend."
Moms.....this is a testament to me...kids don't care about your phone...they want YOU. Your time, your attention, your help, your eyes looking into theirs.
Done preaching...off to get Bella Loobie.
