I see that next Tuesday is Phillip's birthday. He will be 28! Wow. I feel old.
I am supposed to type 350 lines per day as an entry level MT...so far...I am averaging 250...do you think they will keep me? I'm not going to whine about all the crazy things that happen....suffice it to say that sometimes technology and doctor's speed talking do not go well together. But I will keep after it.
Graydon is working on a paper for his class. He is writing on Diabetes, Type I. He is doing a great job! I just proofed for him and it is coming along. He has an interesting date this evening with a cute girl named Noella. I can't wait to meet her. She is a convert and he met her camping in St. George =O).
Today is Lisa Hall's birthday. I want to be like her when I grow up! She is my favorite niece =O)
I gave Ayden a piano lesson yesterday...he got all bummed when his song wasn't right...and put his head down...like he does when things go south. I said, "Ayden these 2 measures have troubles. We can solve this 3 ways.
1) I can call you tomorrow.
2) You can pitch a fit if you want.
3) I can help you fix it.
So you decide what you want to do. I will wait." Pretty soon he said, "Ok, let's fix it." And we went on. He had a GREAT lesson.
Kayla read to me afterward. I asked her how her day went? "Grandma," she said, "I had the most fantastical day! I was outstanding student of the week in music class!" YAY KAYLA.... "And then, I had a dreadful thing happen...(she proceeded to stand on a chair and show me her knee which was bunged up) I fell on the black top." "OUCHEE!!!!!," I said. But I just had to smile at the conversation and her hopping on one foot - on a chair - to show me in the video camera her little knee. Grandkids are so much fun.
I keep thinking how much I miss my daughter. (Do you think the aliens will ever bring her home?)
I figured out in the middle of the night that next week is YW Conference. I so loved going to dinner and spending the evening with her. POOKY. I know it won't be the same, but I think I will walk over to hear the meeting anyway. I am always filled by the great spirit that is there.
I have worried over little Piper--I saw the Mom at the funeral Tuesday and she said Piper is still on trial, she is not sure if she wants to keep her. Randy went over to the family's home to prune their fruit trees and Piper came to say hello. Randy says the kids LOVE her. and she is doing well...so maybe I can turn that worry button off.
A very nice "old farmer" fellow called me last night from Bear River City. He said he and "Mother" saw the photo of Piper in the News Journal and thought she looked like the dog they had for 15 years which had just passed away. "Mother" (Think wife!) thought he should call on it....because they sure loved that dog! I kept his number and name just in case I find another dog somewhere. What a wonderful guy. They live on the end of a road out west and people are always dropping off strays, which they try to adopt out. Really good people.
The Family History Class is almost finished. The time has gone by so fast. I have some Sundays that I get up with such a terrible headache that I don't want to go....and so I say, "Heavenly Father, I will go - just help me get through the day." Then the headache goes away until about 2:00 - and then I have CHOIR practice....and then it goes away....until about 4:30....and then it's make dinner. I am so grateful that Randy helps me. I don't know how I could manage.
Marley and I walked Perry Canyon yesterday. It was gorgeous and little bit warm for a sweatshirt. Marley played in 3 Mile Creek several times =O) It is fun to watch her.
I have lots to do today and not enough hours, so I better get hopping. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.....What do we do? We SWIM =O)
