Ward Christmas Party 12-03-15

  • New Perry 8th Ward
  • Last night was the ward Christmas party. Oy vey. We had to sit with the geriatrically challenged folks because the "younger EQ" folks all sat together. It was a sad night. They catered the dinner from Idle Isle, so all we had to bring was desserts, (a nice change from salads =O). I felt so sad. I really missed all my young YM and YW, and PRIMARY kids. I promise to be a better teacher if you will call me back to the Primary???????? Except, the time is getting closer for me to fly to Illinois, so I'm hoping for no calling until after Katie and I get things settled.

On another note....I am just praying that Heavenly Father has a spot for me where I will fit, even if I need some edges sanded, because this ward is hard. Beloved and Blake Glover and just buddies, so he is doing okay. AND I don't have to shake hands with Jon Montgomery and am grateful. (Like I how I can judge in the same paragraph? Oy Vey). Anyway....this is all a struggle. I'd like to find my spot in Church and in life. I expected some discomfort, just not this feeling of tremendous loss.
Yesterday afternoon: Tanner Michaelis came and brought Marley and I Christmas Gifts. Marley got a new fetch toy that looks like a duck. Tanner brought me this. He is one of the sweetest young men ever. I love him. And so does Marley. We have great taste.
